As a not-for-profit organization, we must rely on additional financial assistance to meet our annual needs. Generous contributions allow this organization to stabilize its foundation, and will help make The State Theatre a destination for generations of Tompkins County residents and visitors to enjoy for many more years. Tax-deductible gifts from donors also allows us to program our stage with a diverse array of live, engaging performances and enables us to preserve, maintain and improve the functionality and comfort of this Theatre as we remain this community’s center of performing arts activity.

Support Our Annual Fund

The State Theatre Annual Fund supports the general operations of our organization. A large portion of the annual fund goes directly to supporting the upkeep and the maintenance of our 96-year-old historic facility.

Become a Member

Members receive advance notice of shows for ticket purchasing, discounts on concessions, free movie tickets, and more! Your annual membership helps fill the gap in funding between ticket sales and the actual cost of running a show.

Sponsor a Show or Series

You or your business can support community programming by becoming a sponsor. Our generous sponsors receive many perks, such as tickets, advertisement in our program & on social media, recognition from our stage at the show, and media exposure through local and regional outlets.

Beyond annual giving and membership, supporters can help secure the Theatre’s future through endowment giving. Managed through the State Theatre Foundation, these lasting gifts provide ongoing financial support, ensuring The State Theatre continues to thrive for years to come.
