Located less than a block away from The Commons in the heart of downtown Ithaca, The State Theatre, is an excellent choice for a wide range of special events. Originally constructed as a vaudeville house in 1928, this historic building features a beautiful, ornate lobby, amazing sight-lines from every seat in the house, ample green rooms and brand new restroom facilities. With a seating capacity of 1,600, the building is perfectly suited to accommodate a wide range of events. From large occasions such as weddings, corporate meetings/presentations, private movie screenings and CD release parties to more intimate social gatherings like cocktail parties, birthday celebrations, and other small musical events in the lobby or on stage. We know that memorable events aren’t just attended, they’re experienced.
