Q: What are your COVID-19 Protocols?

The State Theatre of Ithaca is thrilled to welcome you back for live entertainment soon!  We are dedicated to improving and redefining the State Theatre of Ithaca experience with the health and safety of our fans, artists, and staff as our top priority. While public events in the theatre have not returned yet, we are anticipating a full re-opening by September 2021.  As we’ve seen throughout the pandemic, a lot can change in a week, let alone over several months.  As a result, The State Theatre of Ithaca will not be making definitive COVID safety protocol decisions until closer to our re-opening.  We are closely monitoring all directions from the Centers for Disease Control, the New York State Department of Public Health and the Tompkins County Health Department in regard to COVID-19 and must follow the regulations and recommendations set forth.  Additional regulations may be implemented based on industry standards.  When our protocols are solidified, they will be shared publicly.  It is our hope that there will be very few restrictions by the Fall of 2021, but this is beyond our control. In the meantime, we encourage interested patrons to make their ticket purchases.  If come re-opening time, patrons are uncomfortable or unable to attend, based on our venue safety protocols, options will be provided.  Please check back for updates. We look forward to a safe return to live entertainment!
